Aalborg EX
The Alfa Laval Aalborg EX is an exhaust gas economizer for heating thermal fluid through waste heat recovery. It is delivered as part of a complete thermal fluid heating system with all necessary components, which include heaters, circulation pumps, valves, an expansion tank, a dump cooler and a control system. Mineral oils are the most common heat transfer medium, although water is also possible. The Aalborg EX has a capacity of 100–5000 kW and a design temperature of 280 degrees celsius.

Tailored construction The Aalborg EX is designed case-by-case to match the available exhaust gas heat, using as many as nine coils of bare tubes. |
Damper design options The Aalborg EX can be designed with or without an internal bypass damper, which can be either a single or a double damper. |
Soot-cleaning nozzles Fixed nozzles in the Aalborg EX exhaust gas inlet use a spray of water to prevent the build-up of soot. |
